In 1982, it was put under the management of central China Electric Power Administration Bureau of the Ministry of electric power industry, renamed Wuhan electric power equipment repair and manufacturing plant of central China Electric Power Administration Bureau, and transformed into the production of large bulk material handling and transportation equipment such as car dumper. It is a wholly-owned enterprise under central China Power Grid Co., Ltd. of State Grid. In 1994, it was renamed Wuhan Electric Power Equipment Factory. It was transferred to China Power Construction Group on September 29, 2011.
